Dacor is Southern California's own luxury brand — dual-fuel ranges, wall ovens and drawer microwaves that show up in a lot of OC remodels. We service both the current Samsung-era Modernist line and the older pre-2016 Renaissance and Distinctive models, parts sourcing included. Same-day diagnosis across Orange County.
Current Modernist-line and legacy Renaissance/Distinctive models, in your home
30" to 48" dual-fuel ranges pairing a gas cooktop with an electric convection oven. Igniters that keep clicking, burners that won't light, ovens that won't hold temperature.
Gas and electric wall ovens with the Perfect Flame burner system and PermaClean self-clean liners. Convection motor failures, door lock solenoids that won't release after a self-clean cycle, temperature calibration drift.
Under-counter drawer microwaves — motorized drawer mechanisms that won't open or close, door sensor faults, magnetron failures.
Sealed gas burners and induction cooktops. Spark module and igniter faults, induction zone errors, control panel touchpad failures.
Under-counter refrigeration and wine storage columns from the current Dacor lineup. Compressor and sealed-system diagnosis, temperature drift.
Dacor outdoor gas grills — igniter and valve faults, burner corrosion from coastal salt air common near Newport Beach and Laguna Niguel.
Dacor dual-fuel ranges share the same architecture as other pro-style gas ranges: one spark module feeds every igniter, and the burner valve switches are wired in parallel. Moisture from a boil-over, a worn spark electrode on one burner, or a single sticking switch can make every igniter on the range click simultaneously — which is why swapping the wrong part doesn't fix it. We isolate which switch or igniter is actually faulted before ordering anything.
The self-clean cycle on Dacor wall ovens engages a door lock solenoid that's supposed to release once the oven cools below a safe temperature. If the solenoid itself has failed, or the control board's temperature sensor is misreading and thinks the oven is still hot, the door stays locked well past cool-down. We test the solenoid and sensor separately before replacing either — most calls turn out to be the sensor, not the lock.
Pre-2016 Dacor units (before the Samsung acquisition) used control boards and membrane touchpads that Dacor no longer manufactures in-house. These are the calls where parts sourcing matters most: a board that's a same-day part for a current Modernist-line oven can take a week or more to locate for a 2010 Distinctive double oven. We check parts availability during the diagnostic visit so you know the real timeline — and where a board genuinely isn't available, we say so rather than stringing the repair along.
The motorized drawer mechanism on Dacor's under-counter microwaves relies on a drive motor and a door-position sensor that has to confirm the drawer is fully closed before the unit will run. A drawer that stalls partway open or closed is usually the drive motor or its gear train wearing out; a drawer that closes fine but the unit won't start is almost always the position sensor not confirming closure.
Dacor has been part of Samsung's appliance division since 2016, which changed how parts are sourced for older units but hasn't changed the repair economics — most Dacor failures are still a control board, igniter, or door seal, not a reason to replace the appliance. If your kitchen also has a Thermador, Wolf or Viking from the same remodel, we service all of it in one visit — see all brands we service.
A Dacor range or wall oven runs $2,500–$6,000, and most failures we see — igniter switches, door lock solenoids, control boards — are a few hundred dollars to fix. The one factor that shifts the math is age: for a pre-2016 Renaissance or Distinctive unit where a specific control board has become genuinely hard to source, we tell you that up front during the diagnostic rather than after ordering a part that takes weeks to arrive. For current Modernist-line appliances, parts are readily available and repair is almost always the right call.
Most Dacor repairs run $180–$650 depending on the appliance and failure — igniter switches and door seals on the lower end; control board and touchpad replacements on the higher end. $95 diagnostic, waived when you proceed with the repair, with an upfront quote before any work starts.
Usually a shared spark module or a single sticking burner switch making every igniter click at once. We isolate the actual faulty part before ordering anything.
Usually yes. Most repairs are a few hundred dollars against a $2,500–$6,000 appliance. The one wrinkle is pre-2016 models, where control board parts take longer to source since the Samsung acquisition consolidated the catalog — we check availability during the diagnostic so you know the real timeline.
